These Photos show the first pilot model of Ixion's brass Limited Edition model
of the 7mm Scale 'H' Class Manning Wardle saddle tank. This model is based on
loco number 1021 of the New South Wales Government Railways. Five of the class
came to Australia, the other four remaining in the service of the NSW Public
Works Department. In Britain, this class of engines worked as contractor's
locos, in breweries, collieries and other fascinating industrial settings such
as the St Edward's Hospital Tramway - see
here.

The model will be produced in a limited
edition of 100, 50 in unlined black with red buffer beams, and 50 in blue,
lined in white, in the livery carried by 1021 when it was the shunter at the
Cardiff (NSW) loco workshops, and in which it is preserved at the Rail
Transport Museum,Thirlmere NSW. For more information about the museum and
